The secret to my kitchen is in the details. Every ingredient that goes into my recipes has a focus on whole, unprocessed foods that support a healthy lifestyle and build the foundation to reach your best physical and mental health goals. Not only are my recipes a great introduction for clean eating, but they are simple and quick enough for those who are active and on the go. On every recipe I try to share tips for great taste, substitutions for different dietary needs and my inspiration for my creations.

So what is it that brought me here to you today? I haven’t always lived an active and healthy lifestyle. My early college years were a battle between staying on top of my health and enjoying an active social life. I struggled with yoyo-ing weight, allergies, colds, mental clarity issues and terrible mood swings that weighed on my mental health. For me, this felt like a dead end. I had accepted that there was NO WAY I could ever balance the two. One day as a junior in college, I was introduced to paleo which ultimately became a big game changer. In the beginning I started slowly incorporating whole, healthier foods, journaling what made me feel good and what didn’t. Then I progressed one small change at a time in my diet eventually eliminating foods I never thought I could live without. With the help of journalling I started paying attention to the signals my body was sending me... I noticed things begin to change... Those allergies that kept me out of class were more manageable, I was able to think more clearly, I started to fit into clothes I never thought I could wear, and my energy level skyrocketed. I felt invincible. Fast forward almost seven years I have dissected a way of eating that allows me to remain active while eating healthy but also fits into my professional and social goals.

Here’s the catch: it only takes one small step to improve the quality of your life. So my best word of advice? Take it one moment at a time. Make one small change in the right direction. Make one good choice. Don't wait until tomorrow, the beginning of the week or next month. Make one small change right now. Do that until it is an effortless part of your routine. Next, add one one more small change and repeat. I promise those small changes will add up and you will see that little by little, a little becomes a lot.
