Whole30 & Paleo Spicy Turmeric Chicken Soup

This is my go to base soup recipe. It is so quick to come together, is filling and easy to modify based on your preferences. The Trader Joes Fire Roasted Tomatoes with Green Chilis adds the perfect spicy kick that almost resembles a 'tortilla soup' flavor. The turmeric gives this soup a lovely golden color and some wonderful anti inflammatory properties!
I love to change this recipe depending on what veggies I have in my fridge that need to be used up too! As you can see in the pictures I added a tomato that was looking like it was on its last leg. Try adding kale, cabbage, riced cauliflower, zucchini, or even diced sweet potatoes to change the flavor profile.

This fast lunch or dinner option is a perfect post workout meal!!! This spicy number is my go to after my Orange Theory Fitness workout. It features my favorite Primal Kitchen Foods chipotle lime mayo, and some amazing paleo chicken sausage found at Costco !

I love how easy it is to tweak this recipe to fit your lifestyle & goals. Add or subtract the major components to adjust macros for your personal journey! Less carbs? Use a smaller sweet potato. More protein? Add more sausage! Does higher fat keep you full? Sweet! Add more mayo!




Ingredients

This easy nest recipe is fun for breakfast, brunch or anytime of the day. My favorite part of this recipe is how you can customize it to meet your caloric needs for the day! If you track macros you can adjust the sausage, avocado and spirals as needed. If you need a lower carb option, opt for the butternut squash spirals rather than the sweet potato ect.
You can change the flavor profile to suite your taste as well!
